Lenovo Think Pads: Black or Titanium?

Lenovo, who continues to develop, produce and market the former IBM Think Pads has started a campaign to let people chose wether they prefer black or titanium notebooks. you can vote and check the votes per region / country plus you can compile your persuadatior with a message and send it to friends. Accessibility kritisch betrachtet

Ein super Artikel auf Vorsprung durch Webstandards zeigt auf, dass reine paragrafenreiterei und blinde Umsetzung der Richtlinien das Ziel verfehlen. Ein "Essential" für alle, die sich irgendwie mit Web, Webdesign und Accessibility/Usability auseinandersetzen.

Again Microsoft.. this time their speech recognition :D

Oh dear.. while I still think they make some great software, this video here shows, that they are certainly lightyears behind ViaVoice in terms of speech recognition. It's a press demo of their windows vista speech recog. feature and it goes horribly & funnily wrong. Check it out!

Microsoft Office User Experience

I use Microsoft Software just like so many others do. I am however not a friend of the company. But hey they sure have some of the brightest kids aboard who program some of the best software out there. I stumbled upon the blog of Jensen Harris, who is the Lead Program Manager on the Microsoft Office "user experience" team. His blog is full of great stuff about how they develop and improve Office 2007 from a user experience point of view. Top stuff!

Being an Opera user...

Can be quite hard! I really love this browser and have been using it for over 3 years now. Opera is still not matched by firefox. However, using RIA's (rich internet applications) can be a bit a pain. Today I discovered google notebook and gave it a try. On a bloody IE! Fair play, opera is an exotic browser but couldn't they (meaning everybody) start programming standard like and cross browser? Same goes for TypePad: I can't use the full functionality due to my browser or them being lazy to cross check. Anyway, I'll stick to it because it's by far the most advanced, comfortable and adobtable browser I came across. And at least rememberthemilk works fine on opera :)

A new keyboard for my studio??

Found this over at blogeek.ch. Nice looking and highly programmable new logitech keyboard. Now this could come in handy at the studio :) Especially with the blu lights.
