Excellent portfolio

I was pointed to this portfolio which is quite spectacular! This guy (Mehmet) certainly has his style. Some images are clearly over processed but I like the way he lights his subjects. Given that the equipment used is pretty basic I think I'll still have a bit a way ahead of me...

The quiteness on this blog has a reason: I was in London and Hamburg over the last couple of days. I had a course in London and a short city trip to Hamburg followed. You can check out the pictures on Flickr as always. Unfortunately my ordered (and paid!) Nikon D80 hasn't arrived yet. It seems consumers in Switzerland always have to wait longest... The pics of Hamburg turned out well anyway :)

Nikon D80 announced

I was saving for a D200 but since two weeks the target changed: D80 should pretty much cover my needs. It has been announced today and first glance looks tasty. However I guess I'll have to wait much longer than September because their production plants never quite handle the demand...
