It's strange... whenever I come into this country the urge to leave immediately hits. Even in an exciting mega city like New York I keep asking myself what makes one go here. Of course the options are great: You'll get some 18'000 restaurants and literally any bar has exotic beers aplenty so you're no longer forced to drink the budweiser pish. And you rarely come into a city which is so international and so busy. But then on the other hand there's the usual blah blah araound you and pretentious people saying things like "I get paid to surf the net" and eating trendy food in overly expenisve spots. Cab drivers who know nothing at all about even the inner skirts of manhattan, a public transport system that needs a major makeover and hotels charging 19$ for a crap cold breakfast buffet. I am going back on Wednesday and still have to figure out how to possibly stay longer than a few days. Sorry if that's a bit harsh on your ears but there's just better cities to visit.
