innovative DJ mix

wow.. I normally delete this kind of e-mail straight away. some girl sending me a link to a DJ mix when I don't even have time to listen to demos anymore? Well for once I followed the yousendit.com link and was surprised with a lush downtempo summer mix of the highest quality. the selection is spot on and Crepesuzette (the missus behind it) has put a lot of personality into that mix by *singing*! Yes you heard right... well anyway if you're up for some eastern oriental chillout beat finery you might want to try this link which surely expires soon.

Microsoft Office User Experience

I use Microsoft Software just like so many others do. I am however not a friend of the company. But hey they sure have some of the brightest kids aboard who program some of the best software out there. I stumbled upon the blog of Jensen Harris, who is the Lead Program Manager on the Microsoft Office "user experience" team. His blog is full of great stuff about how they develop and improve Office 2007 from a user experience point of view. Top stuff!

studio revamped

Our studio has been given the much needed colour revamp. Now it's light blue and it rocks! Besides painting the whole room (which was an awful lot of hard work!) we now have a dynaudio BM9S subwoofer matching the speakers (BM6A) and shaking things nicely in the bass frequencies. I can't wait to mix down my new track in the next few days. It'll be a pleasure working in this studio going forward!
